Matt and Lentil named farm Grown and Gathered, because life on the farm in addition to grow food and flowers, also including in the field of food and flowers. Meanwhile, "grown" signify their own rising, "gathered" represents more people gathered together, we share and learn, achieve and grow together.
Matt and Lentil are children who grew up in the country. Lentil's home on the outskirts of Cairns, North Queensland, Matt's House in their now Grown and Gathered near the farm. Growing up, Matt became a designer, Lentil is a speech therapist. In 2009, the two started his own farm, initially to supply restaurants and flower shops. In 2013, they founded the Grown and Gathered brands, mass-market sales of their produce, while advocating and practising the concept of sustainable development.
Lentil and young Matt was like the city, has an enviable job in the city. Matt a few years designed and saved up enough money to travel overseas. In 18 months, he has traveled a lot. This trip and completely changed his life. Matt saw the happiest man in the world, their material needs were few, but the bulk of his property to the people in need.
